Wheel Material
The wheel (also known as a Polyurethane or PU wheel) is a polymer (a large molecule found in plastics) that is composed of a chain of organic units joined by Carbamate (Urethane) links. This results in a heavy duty, tough rubber/plastic like material…
Which means it is ideal for solving almost any problems you may encounter while transporting goods with a sack truck or sack trolley.
The wheel is puncture proof because it is solid, contains no inner tube and requires no filling of air.
Wheel Components
At the centre of the wheel you will find a forged steel hub with high quality ball bearings, which reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. This means that it is resistant to broken hubs (common in wheels with plastic hubs) and heavier loads are easier to move thanks to the ball bearings.
A 55mm offset hub allows for extra support at the rear side of the wheel. This acts as a solid back bone which helps prevent damage to the bearings lengthening their life. An additional advantage of ball bearings is that they also tolerate any misalignment of wheels and hubs which appear over time better than other kinds of rolling elements.
A sleek tread design allows for better grip while transporting goods and keeps the wheel balanced and moving in a straight line. The tread also makes it versatile over different terrain types such as roads, paving, grassland and gravel.
Each wheel weighs 1.6kg and can carry up to 120kg – 75x it’s weight!
You won’t have to worry about getting a puncture ever again.
